Sure, FREE anything does well in the search engines because there are a lot people out there that truly hope that there is an easy path to success. I hate to be harsh, but if you came here hoping to hear how free software was going to change your life, you came to the wrong place. I suggest you go buy a lottery ticket. What's even worse is when the marketers behind these initiatives start listing off whiz bang features that appear to compete with mature (costlier) products. I cover this in another article (or twenty), but even expensive features aren't going to turn your business around. Features are designed to benefit the software vendor. The requirements you develop from a detailed CRM strategy are the only thing that will benefit your business. How Free is FreeProbably the biggest expense with free CRM software is opportunity cost. That's because you need to add up all the time your staff sits there twiddling their thumbs trying to figure out what to do next. Obviously, you decided that something cheap was going to lead your business for you. I'm assuming you believe it will lead your staff as well. I'm just being honest here, you can invest in penny stocks if you have $10 but that level of investment will not make you rich. If your boss sent you here to do research on free software, take a risk and lead from below.
